Stop Gauge Bend Examples
The Gauge Numbers for 90, 45 & 180 degree bends in Mild Steel Square Tubing using the
UB5-H (with hydraulics) are shown below. The Stop Gauge Numbers here were determined he by test forming 10 & 12 gauge square tubing. Depending on the characteristics of the material you are forming these numbers will be close but may differ slightly from the ones published here. However they will be close. A test bend should still be done especially if multiple parts are being made. Following these charts should help eliminate the need to figure out bends from scratch and reduce the amount of scrap that you may otherwise produce.
